Chef Ben, originally hailing from Boaz AL, studied at Culinard here in Birmingham before coming to Urban. He takes great culinary inspiration from traditional southern cooking, often drawing on the childhood memories of being in the kitchen with his grandmother. Ben also loves bold global flavors from spain and mexico, and he delights in making those smoky, spicy & sweet flavors accessible without a passport.

Chef Daniel comes to Urban from Bottega. It was there that his passion for simple, quality Italian inspired food blossomed. Also a Culinard graduate, Daniel has been working in kitchens for the past 12 years. He is eager to be a part of the downtown dining scene, and hopes that he can use his experience to set a new direction for Urban while still offering the same quality and unfussy food the neighborhood depends on.
